Birth Doula Support

As a part of your birth team, I will be with you before, during, and after birth. It is important to me that you feel supported, educated, and empowered to birth your way.

  • We will start with a free 30-minute consultation to get to know each other, and make sure we are a good fit. This is when we will discuss your initial expectations for labor and delivery, as well as your goals for working with me as your doula.

  • Once you have hired me, you have access to all of my resources and groups/circles for the remainder of our time together.

  • We will meet twice, for 2-hour prenatal visits where we will talk about labor, signs of labor, your birth preferences, how your pregnancy is going, and if you’d like, pain management and coping during labor. There will always be time to discuss any questions or concerns that you have regarding pregnancy, childbirth, and what to expect once the baby arrives.

  • I will be available for additional support through phone calls, texts, and emails throughout your entire pregnancy. I want you to feel like you can reach out to me at any time.

  • I will be on call 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your estimated due date, until the baby arrives. I will be available for scheduled inductions and cesareans, even if they fall outside of this window.

  • You will contact me when you start to experience signs of labor. I will meet up with you at your place of choice, when you are in active labor and are ready for support, either at your home or your birthing location. We can discuss whether it is time to head out to the birth center or hospital if that is a part of your plan.

  • I will be by your side during labor to offer you physical pain management, and emotional support to you and your birth partner. I will also help you process any new information, unforeseen circumstances, and decisions that need to be made.

  • I will continue to offer support by your side for 1 to 2 hours after the baby is born. I want to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need to begin your postpartum journey.

  • We will meet again for a postpartum visit in your home after the baby arrives so we can discuss birth, how things are going, and any questions you may have regarding the newborn days. You will still have access to any of my resources you may wish to have during this time.

Virtual doula support is available to those who are not local, or prefer- any or all birth support can be conducted via video chat.
